A Colorado native, Daniel Hallford has brought the sound of the classical guitar to audiences throughout the United States. While performing new and historical works, Hallford is a performer in the tradition of his masters.

As an interpreter of ancient and modern music, Hallford has received critical acclaim from both ends of the US. One of his specialties is Spanish guitar. New York City has been calling Hallford since the beginning of his studies with New Yorker Emmett Finley in Colorado. As an undergraduate at Colorado State University Alex Komodore pointed him towards the Mannes College of Music, where Hallford received his masters degree. The testing ground of New York City has since sharpened Hallford's musical wit and finesse. As a scholarship winner at Mannes, Hallford performed with numerous and varied ensembles and helped spread the spirit of excellence the school is known for. While at Mannes Hallford Studied with Michael Newman, Fred Hand and Terry Champlin, each of whom rounded out a continually growing technical and musical ability.

As a finalist in national and international competitions, Hallford has been noticed for his musical spirit and lyrical playing. Hallford has been a guest artist on KDNK 88.1FM in Carbondale, CO.

Hallford has been a student in master classes held by some of the worlds most eminent and accomplished players and teachers including David Russell, Sharon Isbin, Oscar Ghiglia, Andrew York and Elena Papandreau.
