Alexander Meshibovsky received his Masters of Music from Kharkov Conservatory and the Doctor of Music from the Gnessin Institute, Moscow. He has studied with Jascha Heifetz at the University of Southern California, Adolph Lestshinsky, a student of Karl Flesh, and Ilya Dobrshinetz, a student of Leopold Auer.
He has been Adjunct Professor of violin at Columbia University Teachers College and Lehman College- CUNY, Associate Professor of violin at Suny Purchase, West Virginia University and East Tennessee State University, Assisted Professor at Musikhochschule in Hannover, German and at Innsburck conservatorium, and Instructor of Violin and Viola at Westchester Conservatory of Music.
He has concertized in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Belgium, Norway, Italy, Spain and the U.S. He has recorded and given live broadcast performances for West German Radio, North German Radio, Austrian Radio and Television, and American Public Television. He has performed as soloist with the Hamburg Philharmonic, Berlin Radio Orchestra, North German Radio Orchestra, NDR Orchestra and Queens Symphony.
