Tina Lee holds a BA from Smith College and a Master of Music from Yale University. Tina is a violist, violinist, pianist and singer. She began violin and viola studies at the Longy School of Music and New England Conservatory preparatory division. At Yale, she was a student of Jesse Levine. She also sang in several paid professional choirs on campus and studied voice.
At Smith, she studied with Philipp Naegele and Janet Hill. She was also the graduating recipient of the Music Department Award in Composition. She spent summers doing performance study at the Aspen Music Festival and School.
She is a graduate of the Suzuki violin teacher training program at the School for Strings in Manhattan. She also teaches piano at the Little Scholars School of Music in Long Island. She incorporates both Suzuki and traditional methods into her teaching style according to the needs of each student.
