Yoshitake Okazaki, a native of Japan, studied at the Tokyo University of Music and Fine Arts receiving his Bachelor of Music Degree. He earned his Master of Music Degree at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. As a departmental assistant, he was awarded the Arthur G. Humphrey Memorial Prize for outstanding work in accompanying. In Tokyo he co-founded the Midori Concert Series with friends and associates (Composers, Singers, and Instrumentalists) from school with various conventional as well as original compositions. He has had extensive solo and collaborative performance experiences in diverse musical settings, including classical, jazz cross over, chamber music, and art songs. Mr. Okazaki has taught piano at the Rutgers Community Music Program to students ranging in age from early childhood to adult. He also taught piano at the Oakcrest Academy in Somerset, New Jersey and the Piano School of NYC, piano outreach of New York City.
