Isaac Raz attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston where he received his Bachelor of Music degree and the Duke Ellington Award for musical excellence. In 1993, he composed the musical score for the Emmy Award winning documentary film “Pioneer Women.” In 2000, Isaac worked with renowned jazz record producer Teo Macero, playing keyboards and programming for his “Miles Davis Tribute” album. His arranging skills have been utilized on many pop music recordings as well as advertising jingles.
His jazz and pop groups have played throughout the New York area and abroad featuring his own compositions as well as popular music of all styles. He runs his own recording studio in Manhattan. He teaches piano, voice, guitar, bass, percussion and composition. He directs the Amadeus Summer Performing Arts Day Camp in Chappaqua, New York.
