Program Overview
Music Instruction and Musical Theater Programs
Amadeus offers a variety of programs, including Private Instruction in all instruments, Group Theory Classes, Early Childhood Education, Suzuki Violin, Guitar and Cello, Musical Theater and Vocal Training, Musicianship, Orchestra, Chamber Music, The Jazz Program, and Computer Music Technology.
Our Summer Performing Arts Day Camp offers students ages 6-16 in Chappaqua the opportunity to perform musical theater, study instruments, design and paint sets, and participate in studio art with a noted New York City painter. This summers show is West Side Story.
Students of all ages and experience can benefit from our programs, which are shaped around our students to cater to their individual needs. Adult beginners as well as more experienced musicians are welcome.
Courses meet Monday through Saturday throughout the 10-month academic year, which follows the public school calendars. We also offer a summer session of six weeks, concurrent with our Musical Theatre Day Camps from June 29- August 7, 2009..
During the school year, our program is divided into two academic semesters, September through January and February through June. Students have the option of attending classes at our Chappaqua facility (201 King Street, Chappaqua) Bedford Facility (St. Matthew's Church, 382 Cantitoe Street, Bedford, or Rye facility (Rye Presbyterian Church 882 Boston Post Road)
At the end of each semester, students have the opportunity to perform in a student recital, concert, or musical theatre production, which serves as a tangible culmination of the musical education that they have gained throughout the semester.
