William F. Reed holds degrees in composition from Loyola University New Orleans and the Aaron Copland School of Music in New York. Wil has worked as a jazz pianist and music director for schools and theaters in New York, New Orleans, Washington DC, Chapel Hill, NC, and San Diego, CA. His chamber music has been featured on PBS in New York and his arrangement of One Voice One Dream was performed at the 2010 People of Color Conference in San Diego under the direction of Jung-Ho Pak, conductor of the San Diego Symphony. AFFAIR OF HONOUR, his first musical was included in the 2013 Baltimore Playwright’s Festival, the 2012 New York Musical Festival and at the Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History. A well-rounded performing arts instructor, Wil has taught choral, instrumental, and general music in independent schools for the past 15 years.
